Course Objectives:
This is a two-semester course intended to provide basic understanding of the pulp treatments for children.
Course Content:
In this course, pulp treatment and dental pain, indirect and direct pulp therapy for the primary and immature permanent teeth, pulpotomy procedures and pulp therapy in primary teeth, materials used for direct pulp therapy and pulpotomy in primary teeth, apexogenesis and apexification, periodontitis and early periodontal diseases, novel therapy methods for infected immature permanent teeth, vitamins and hormones, dental rehabilitation of children under general anesthesia and sedation, topical fluoride, fissure sealant and remineralization agents, psychological approach to child and behavior management of child in dental treatment will be discussed. |
