Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to explain the treatment approach for patients who visit the clinics urgently and who are referred for emergency interventions according to the triage plan. The course is conducted with the collaboration of multiple disciplines so that the concept of emergency treatment is instilled in a multidisciplinary format. In addition, topics such as the pain concept, its mechanism, TMJ disorders and pain, differential diagnosis and referred pain are included in the course. The course includes topics such as pain physiology, temporomandibular dysfunction pain, as well as emergency interventions in the practice of clinical courses such as endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, restorative treatment and prosthodontics. The emergency cubicle rotations of the students comprise the practical part of the course. During this process, students are obliged to perform emergency first aid interventions who present to the clinics urgently.
