Course Objectives:
This is a one-semester course intended to provide the student basic understanding of the oral health care for children.
Course Content:
In this course, vitamins and hormones and their relation to oral health, children with chronic health conditions and implications for oral health, management of children with Type I Diabetes in pediatric dentistry, management of children with cancer in pediatric dentistry, management of children with congenital heart diseases in pediatric dentistry, management of children with chronic diseases of respiratory tract in pediatric dentistry will be discussed.
